Inside Delhi

With the population of about 11 million , Delhi is one of the most populous and diverse cities in the country. If you are planning to visit Delhi, or just shifted, or whatever, you'll be amazed to see so many different cultures, different castes and communities spread all over the city. This blog will help you understand this loving city even more. From Chandni Chowk to Janakpuri, from Dwarka to to Hauz khas, from Humayun tomb to Red fort , we are living around thousand of tourist attractions and awesome places to visit, with number of different cuisines and local street side food to try, flourished all over the city. One of the most loved food for delhiities is chai samsose, chole bhature & momos(dumplings).
I was born and brought up in Delhi, its been 20 years now, and i'm still trying to figure out this city, its people. People in Delhi comes from different castes and communities, religions, even countries. I often watch foreign travelers here, i hope they like us, our city. Well, there is no typical must watch place i could think of, yet there are list of so many places one should visit. If you are still in our thoughts worried about where to start from, then may i suggest to start from the oldest, "Old Delhi" , Chandni chowk, Chawri baazar, Dariba kalan, Balli maran, these places are old yet gives you that immense pleasure, and a warmth that one would definitely feel, in the galis( small streets) of old Delhi. One special thing about this place is that as you won't be able to drive your personal vehicle, most of the time you have to walk by yourself, or rickshaw, scooters are some of the options one have, you'll be twice as hungry. And there, you can find one of the best Indian food, or if you are non vegetarian by any chance, you'll be amazed to find large varieties of it, everywhere. It's an amazing place, with which you can also visit a famous Gurudwara, Sheeshganj, and Barakhamba road, Darya ganj, Connaught  place and many more to go.
Moving on from Old Delhi, there are number of authentic and sightseeing places to visit, like, Akshardham temple, Gurudwara Bangla sahib, Qutub minar, Humayun tomb, Safdarjaung tomb, Lodhi garden, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Rajpath and so many more attractions. Delhi is full of so many amazing places to visit.
If you're foodie, and want to try different spices of Indian cuisines, you might want to try some north Indian at Bukhara - ITC Maurya , Raas, kebab Gali, in case your crave for some Chinese in between, go for Berco's, Chew- Pan Asia cafe, Momos point, or if you're looking for some authentic south Indian touch, Saravana Bhawan is the right place for you.
Apart from tourist places or food stops, Delhi has number of huge beautiful Malls too. I haven't been to a lot of malls yet, but one of my favorites are, Select city walk, south Delhi, pacific mall, subhash nagar, City center, Rohini, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. They have everything you want, various brand stores, diverse food courts,so beautiful especially around some festive seasons as well.
And to feel like a typical "Dilli waala" to must traveler like one! leaving aside your personal vehicle, you may want to try local buses, metro, autos, rickshaw. You also might want to know that travelling in metro isn't that easy. With some special stations where crowds are packed in the trains, there are some routes also, where you can actually find a seat, and don't have to run for it, like a last piece of food on a stranded island. Still, no matter how we deal with such issues, we are still loving it! Hot tea and chilly winds of winters, hot summers and banta(local beverage), monsoons with pakoras and tea, you'll see us enjoying all the time.
So, I suggest, Come and visit Delhi. Delhiites are awesome fun loving people, love to eat, sleep, party & repeat.
